Vodafone Freebees - What are your views?

I just wanted to know what you all think about these vodafone freebees, I have been with vodafone quite a while now, and my old phone is payg and on free weekends and also the iou system, all I need to do is top up £5 minimum when needed
I recently bought a new phone, with apps on from vodafone, it was not expensive as I can't afford a lot, it's bad enough when you buy a new phone you have to obtain a minimum top up of £10, however if paying by cash not card then it's a minimum top up of £20
a month later you have to top up £10 again you get like 300 texts 50 mb internet and a certain amout for calls, but that all has to be used in one month, I don't text a lot so I probably don't use 300 texts a year, I told the shop this the following month, they said they had changed it, saturday night there was £8.76 credit left on my phone, sunday morning there was £0.00 credit left on my phone, they tell me the freebee has expired, but I believe this is wrong, had I wanted a contract phone I would have had a contract and £10 a month to me is like a contract, payg should mean that, and credit should not be lost, this is in my opinion a con and a get rich scheme for vodafone, I am not happy and if neccessary I will cancel that number and use my other number, I cannot afford to pay out £10 a month to these people who are in my opinion ripping people off, these freebees do not give you anything decent anyway unless you have thousands and thousands of them, it's time something was done about this, please let me know your comments

Thanks

Don't buy 'Freebees' and your PAYG credit will never expire. It's all up to you. Unlike on contract you don't have to buy them every month.

That said, without 'Freebees' you can do much better at other networks, many of which use the same Vodafone signal
