Now I would not recommend you start this as a seperate issue - it is always better to claim pre 6 years with within 6 years, if they offer to settle the 6 years worth then you need to turn it down. So include all 7 years in your LBA and send a schedule of charges (EXLCUDING the 8% interest) with the letter.
You need to do a lot of reading - I would have a look over at the consumer action group - there are a couple of people who have reclaimed pre 6 years in the last week - Bong (13 years worth !) and Wilkins (Halifax). Theres also a lot of discussion and information about s.32 limitations act.
Hiya esmerellda
Do I read that correctly to mean file claim as one or as two seperate claims...one for 1991 - to date and one for pre-1991 ? Both at the same time ?0 -
Thanks for asking that Twinkly
- I have already filed the last six years claim and was wondering if I could now also ask about the previous - if you get what I mean

I'd be interested to know about claiming back pre 1991 - as you can see, I've already settled 3 cases, but would love to know if I could claim back more for the time leading up to 1991 (saying that I'm not sure if I have any bank statements going that far back and can't remember when my Coop account was opened!).

Just ask for ALL account information held by them under The Data Protection act. They are obliged to provide it. No need for you to remember the dates and they will probably advise that the information you receive is from the date of opening the account. If your records dont go back to the opening of the account and look incomplete because you know it had been open longer than that ask for a copy of the certificate of destruction.
As Esmerellda posted earlier in the thread the ICO advise to ask for this and one hasnt turned up as yet, the statements usually magically appear0
