I very, very much doubt it mate. It'd be like them saying I've got to cough up the extra from when I paid in January.
Mine's £175 too, inconvenient isn't it :mad:I am not really an Eskimo. I can hear what you're thinking... "Inuit!"0 -
you pay whatever price it is on the day you purchase it, which is why I purchased mine online on the 15th. paid online on thurday afternoon, it arrived saturday morning!finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0

Many thanks. we can't yet purchase on line and it's a bank holiday here - St Patrick's. I will be at the post office first thing tomorrow -if it's going up to £400 there is a massive saving to be made. :T0

Didn't they do this a couple of years ago? The reminders went out for renewals before the budget. The car tax was raised in the budget as from Midnight and when people went to renew their tax with the original remiders, they still had to stump up the new rate.0

I have just been and renewed tax for my disco for the year, £175 as per the renewal notice. If you wait till after the budget you will have to stump the new rate. Once before I waited till nearer the end of the month applied by post, but got it returned and had to send extra. Didn't want to risk that this time, in case it goes up by a lot.0

thank you for the reminder usually leave it till last minute but done it early nd for 12 instead of 6 months. They left the ref number off the form so rang in the renewal with log book ref. Once again thanks for saving me some money.Who would like my last penny?0

I live in Northern Ireland and we have to go via DVLNI - with no option to pay online. Sure I can slip out to the post office during my lunchbreak!0 -
My road tax expires on 31st March. If I renew it today at £175, will I have to pay the difference after The Budget?
My engine size is 1991
No you don't pay any increase.
If you look on your renewal it will give you the earliest date you can pay it. Mine was after the 15th of the month.
Pay it now.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

According to rumour control, are all the car tax bands going to increase, or just the gas guzzlers?
My car is just 1g/km ( typical) into Band C (£110 per year) and is due at the end of this month, so I presume if anything he will put the tax up, so I'd best get mine sorted tomorrow........:money:0
