Just a thought is the first bag free on the domestic leg after the transatlantic stop?

Domestic baggage charges tend to be waived for international connections (also with fairly low level status in airlines frequent flyer programmes).

United are cramped and horrible. However, their flight times and prices suit us, so we will use them again.

I recently flew MAN-HNL and back, through LHR & San Fran on the way out and Newark on way back.
Now I'm a tall girl (6'1) and the leg room for me was fine. I had enough room to be comfortable, could do with more but hey, economy plus next time! The Ryanair comparison?????????
I found the flights to be fine, although as someone has already pointed out the internal flights are just a basic flight, kind of low cost I guess, however, we did get free drinks on all flights, plus meals on our international ones.

Baggage wise, we had to collect and drop as per usual. No charges for our bags on the domestic flights as we had an international ticket.

    I'd fly United again.

We are looking to book asap going in around 2 weeks, United are the cheapest for all combinations to the US, so looks like it's them then, unless something better pops up!
