I thought it was the 28th - but not 100% sure (a Santander employee states the 11th elsewhere in this forum)

are you looking for a pre-approval

I have just opened an account and just wondering when internal rating updates. How long have you had your account I notice you have a preapproved credit card offer. Thanks for your help.

I've held the account for over 10 years and had the Abbey credit card many years ago which was sold to MBNA - so I was waiting for a Santander credit card offer

My behavioural score is about 650 , pre-approval for the credit card took some effort

It's around the middle of the month for the Behavioural Score to be updated on the system (I check my own every month). Make sure you credit more than you debit every month to keep your score as high as possible. It'll probably take around 5-6 months to get offered a pre-approved product if you're new to the company.

Thanks, I will maintain at least £1000 in the account. What are the limits of the behavioural score?

Thanks for your reply. Can I go in branch and ask my behaviour score. What are limits of the score.

Would operating my account as shown aid my score.

Balance brought forward from 4th Jul Statement £2,232.45
    Total money in: £7,239.23
    Total money out: -£7,251.98
Your balance at close of business 2nd Aug 2012 £2,219.70

2nd Aug Average credit balance £1,677.79

    Thanks again.

How can a mere mortal check their own Santander internal score? Would love to know mine, just for a laugh

I've seen internal scores as high as 900+ (although that's rare). The average score I used to see was 600-700 (anything below would make it harder to get pre-approved for internal offers).

You can ask in the branch to see it, although it's not a commonly known area as staff aren't trained in it, it's just something attentive staff pick up over time. And tbh, the score won't tell them or you that much other than your likely hood of being approved for internal product upgrades (and sometimes for stuff like Loans and CCs).

The example above wouldn't really help your score that much as you're taking out near enough the same as what you put in. If you only took out 3/4 of what you put in, that would help it better.

Thanks for your reply. While I withdraw most of what is put in i maintain a balance of at least 1000 would this aid score.
