Evening all
What an awful night we had hereDD woke up 17 times in the night between 10pm and 6.30am! She's never woken up that much in one night in her entire life! Between that and her snoring in-between waking I've had a total of about 4 hours sleep and as such I have done very little today. To add to the tiredness my shoulder and lower back are both aching today. DD looks like casper and feels awful due to her lack of sleep so we decided no secondary school visit as planned. DD has decided instead to have a DVD/crafting in bed day to minimise how much I need to help her
All she keeps saying is she's sorry and hates the situation, so I've told her its not her fault, accidents happen but a little better timing next time would be appreciated :rotfl: She just goes "MEH
" :rotfl: She hasn't lost her sense of humour thats for sure
If its gone its done.
Thursday: Going into school for the afternoon in the hopes of getting her in and involved again as much as possible
Friday: Clinic with DD at 9.46am! Remind DD to text her grandad happy birthday
Saturday: Ex here (I need to find something to do so he can stay here with her), WORK at lunchtime, redelivering to 3 customers.

Edit: I give up - the strikethroughs aren't showing. Hubby will be very impressed at this rate!
What on earth happened to the width on this thread?! is it just me?
Anyways.... the bathroom is done to the best of my ability; and I've steam-cleaned the hinges on the shower screen (it's several acrylic panes that fold up, concertina-style) so that's a good job jobbed.;)
All that remains today is to do my Brain Training, and throw tonight's egg salad onto plates.:T Yes, I know it's wet and miserable, but I want salad! *stamps foot* So there!:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

This thread is great - thanks all!
Feeling much more positive today. Just had a crappy day yesterday, ended up feeling like a rubbish mum (which I'm not!) but all the encouragement here has helped plus I can tell the difference today - it's taken much less time to keep on top of downstairs this afternoon :j
Hectic day today - been to work, picked up 2 kids from school, taken 1 to dancing, picked up 3rd from childminder, come home, sorted washing, etc, put tea in oven. Still got to pick up DD from dancing, feed kids, take DS1 to Cubs and pick him up but I'm determined to fit a HHC in around all that after seeing the difference it made last night! Then I WILL make time to catch up on some of the thread at some point

I remember when we brought our 3 cats home, three years ago August, to very some hot days. They had to stay in for the month and we would shut them in the front half of the bungalow 3 or 4 times a day (they had access to four rooms) and we would open up the conservatory doors and breathe in air, gasping like fish out of water! Sadly 2 of those 3 were old cats, and we lost one after 18 months and the other 3 months ago, both to kidney disease - we both miss them so much, I'd trade in any fresh air to have them back. I envy you your kitty!
Flyingwise, I did a clean of the bathroom, S&S the kitchen, an hour's ironing, bit of dusting, then OH and I went out for lunch and called at Mr M on way back for fresh supplies, plus usual clean and change of cat dishes and water, plus baby birds outside, who are eating all
the food we can supply!!
This is a non work day, so now at home watching more tennis! Throat a lot better so back to work tomorrow.
Good vibes to all that need them, S x0 -
just had this email from a friend and thought id share it with you
A man was sick and tired
Of going to work every day
While his wife stayed home.
He wanted her to see
What he went through so he prayed:
'Dear Lord:
I go to work every day and put
In 8 hours while my wife
Merely stays at home.
I want her to know what
I go through
So, please allow her body to
Switch with mine for a day.
'
God, in his infinite wisdom,
Granted the man's wish.
The next morning, sure enough,
The man awoke as a woman...
He arose, cooked breakfast
For his mate,
Awakened the kids,
Set out their school clothes,
Fed them breakfast,
Packed their lunches,
Drove them to school,
Came home and picked
Up the dry cleaning,
Took it to the cleaners
And stopped at the bank
To make a deposit,
Went grocery shopping,
Then drove home to put
Away the groceries,
Paid the bills and balanced
The check book.
He cleaned the cat's litter box
And bathed the dog..
Then, it was already 1 P.M.
And he hurried to make the beds,
Do the laundry, vacuum,
Dust, And sweep and mop
The kitchen floor.
Ran to the school to pick up
The kids and got into an argument
With them on the way home.
Set out milk and cookies and
Got the kids organized to do
Their homework.
Then, set up the ironing board
And watched TV while he
Did the ironing.
At 4:30 he began peeling
Potatoes and washing
Vegetables for salad,
Breaded the pork chops
And snapped
Fresh beans for supper.
After supper,
He cleaned the kitchen,
Ran the dishwasher,
Folded laundry,
Bathed the kids, And put
Them to bed.
At 9 P.M. He was exhausted
And, though his daily chores
Weren't finished, he went to
Bed where he was expected to
Make love, which he managed
To get through without complaint.
The next morning, he awoke
And immediately knelt by the
Bed and said: -
Lord, I don't know what
I was thinking.
I was so wrong to envy my
Wife's' being able to stay
Home all day
Please, Oh! Please,
Let us trade back.. Amen!'
The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied:
"My son, I feel you have
Learned your lesson and
I will be happy to change
Things back to the way
They were.
But you'll have to wait
Nine months, though.
You got pregnant last night"

Hee hee that's funny I once went AWOL when my eldest was about 5mth old, my dear, departed, lovely hubby had been a sod about who works hardest so I left them overnight (friends birthday) boy was he relieved when I came home. They were both looking bedraggled but fed and the baby's bottom was clean. Other than that, the house was bedlam...Bossymoo

Good evening
I am shattered! The kids trashed the house (only toys - all cleaned up now :A) and scribbled all over the patio with chalk (no doubt some rain will be along soon to wash that off). I took the 2 girls (aged nearly 2 and nearly 4) to our local park to bounce on the Inflatable Stonehenge that was visiting todayThey really enjoyed it, and we can't do that every day!
Flying wise I have done 1 load of washing, which is on the line, put on the DW, thrown some stuff down the upstairs toilet (I bet someone has since flushed it without scrubbing first ) and that is about it.
i am going to get the washing in & then sort out some dinner for DS & me (DH working, DD1 working & DD2 at her friends). I am then going to sit down tonight and tackle a frog (sorting the photos that arrived today for LO's learning journeys. So much paperwork!!
Back later for an update...0
