In our house the cat is known as KC, Killer Cat

She's worn collars and lost them, even had extra bells added to them and still caught stuff. Sadly can't stop her.
The other night I came home, disappeared upstairs for 3 mins and when I came back down there was a dead mouse laid out at the bottom of stairs! Worst thing is she's leaving dead stuff under her "kill bush" and the puppy has now discovered what's under there. She was playing with a dead starling this morning :eek:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

I didn't so much mind Danny killing mice and rats, but I was distinctly unimpressed when I actually saw the monster leap into the air and catch a blue tit in flight, which he then proceeded to dismember on the lawn.
No point in being angry at them though, they don't understand.Je suis Charlie.0 -
My previous cat, Kola used to 'catch' me things off my clotheshorse. Used to wake up to various items of clothing strewn across the floor - or she'd make those little chirrupy noises to wake me up and show me my 'presents'. She'd dragged a pair of trousers in once!
My Jerry Cat caught a squirrel once (despite having hardly any teeth). Dragged it up the garden and it died out of fear.
I've moved house several times and it's definitely depended on where I live as to what I get. Don't get anything now at all - but they rarely get out of the garden. It's fairly cat-proof. My old house backed on to a small river and a little copse and there were always mice, birds and voles around - tonnes in my garden. I rarely even see birds in the garden of the house I'm in now!
Are there fields, water or forest nearby? Does she catch everything during the day or do you let her out at night? Maybe try to stick to letting her out during daylight only...

I snatch "offerings" off my cats, and growl and hiss at them.
I have no idea if they think that I'm a really greedy so-and-so, or if I'm really rude when it comes to receiving gifts.
Either way, they've stopped offering the gifts!

Hi
We have had rabbits brought into our garden before by our cat, as well as a range of other things. But we don't have a cat flap, so everything tends to get left in the garden when we let our cats in.
It is natural, so we never tell them off for this. We just remove the presys and say thank you. As cats get older they loose the knack of catching them, that is what I have found. They mustn't be as quick. Our older cat now sits and watches the kitten playing with the mice on the path, which is what he used to do. xCurrently debt free (for 4 years) - ISA Savings now £4,050.56Save 12k in 2012 Challenge - £3215.17 / 3000k (Member 159)
