Can anyone on here categorically state whether the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the HTC One X, supports the above profile or not?

I have searched t'internet and asked shop assistants until I am blue in the face.

Most mobile phone shop assistants don't even know what it is, let alone if they have it, including my son working at Orange:mad:

Apart from getting him to lend me one of each, which would be awkward, I am lost as to how to find this out:(

I would be surprised if they do not.

From what I have found out from various mobile forums ICS (aka Android 4) does not support SAP/rSAP so the answer will be NO

Looks like I'll have to stick to Blackberry then.

Dropped my BB Torch in a flowerpot full of water at work this week and was hoping to change to one of the above now it has had it.

Isn't SAP where once you pair the device with the car kit, the address book is available via the car kit?
I thought that was a basic BT standard :o

Not quite. When the ignition is turned on the car kit, in my case a Nokia 616, turns the phone 'off' so to speak and uses the phone as a sim card holder.

The advantage is that it then uses the class 2 signal booster and external aerial for better quality coverage.

You can also download all your contacts to the 616.

Disadvantage is you cannot receive email whilst connected via SAP
