Bluetooth SAP
Can anyone on here categorically state whether the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the HTC One X, supports the above profile or not?
I have searched t'internet and asked shop assistants until I am blue in the face.
Most mobile phone shop assistants don't even know what it is, let alone if they have it, including my son working at Orange:mad:
Apart from getting him to lend me one of each, which would be awkward, I am lost as to how to find this out:(

From what I have found out from various mobile forums ICS (aka Android 4) does not support SAP/rSAP so the answer will be NOThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Looks like I'll have to stick to Blackberry then.
Dropped my BB Torch in a flowerpot full of water at work this week and was hoping to change to one of the above now it has had it.0 -

Isn't SAP where once you pair the device with the car kit, the address book is available via the car kit?
I thought that was a basic BT standard

Not quite. When the ignition is turned on the car kit, in my case a Nokia 616, turns the phone 'off' so to speak and uses the phone as a sim card holder.
The advantage is that it then uses the class 2 signal booster and external aerial for better quality coverage.
You can also download all your contacts to the 616.
Disadvantage is you cannot receive email whilst connected via SAP0 -
