They say 'Mum, can I make the laundry gloop?' And aren't at all phased by a nappy bucket (of laundry gloop) sitting in the kitchen when the younger child is 9 & well out of nappies by day (actually, he's dry at night too now! Hooray!)

When you take them shopping for shampoo and they go to theone they usually have, look at the price and say indignantly, "I'm not paying THAT!" and select a value one. (DD, aged 14)

oooh and when they ask you to look on Amaxon to see if the price of a book they want is cheaper online (also DD)

Your DD's friend comes to tea then greets his mum at the door by shouting "Mum, DD's Mum made chips from potatoes!!!" and DD is puzzled - who doesn't make chips from potatoes, it's alchemy!

Your eldest DD (7 at the time) knits a toy cat for the younger DD's birthday (then 3), including finger-knitting a tail and sewing on little buttons for eyes (secretly reinforced later by mummy - sshhhh!). I was very proud :)

  • Had nephew, who when I read him a space story, asked where I came from, so I naturally answered Mars! And my car would take off when it did 67 mph. Poor lad was so upset that the car could not reach this speed!

Turned out alright though as he is hooked now, like me, on :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer: Cheers
