I think you'll find the poor person will not be able to confirm their address.
Help for French PayPal users about confirmed addressed, In french is here:
https://www.paypal.com/fr/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_help-ext&nodeid=25805&leafid=1169955&prior_transaction_id=1499507&answer_id=16777223
and to translate the important bit:
"Why isnt my address confirmed?"
"PayPal uses an automatic system of checking to control the bill-to-addresses of your bank cards. For the moment, this system cannot check the majority of the bill-to-addresses apart from those in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom."
Maybe they can go through hoops to get a manual confirmation, but I recall doing that and it took ages.
Time to find some other way to be payed maybe. May I suggest as an alternative you ask if she can pay in GBP to the IBAAN account number of one of your bank accounts. It must be in GBP though or you'll be hit with a currency conversion. Do check if your bank levvies a fee to receive too.0 -

Thanks for that Lorian. Wish I'd not agreed to the sale now, lol ! Seems rediculous that I'm not offered protection because Paypal can't verify ALL users ?!!?0 -
I was a paypal member before UK addresses could get confirmed. People still shipped me stuff!
If you said "I ship to confirmed addresses only" in your auction detail then you dont have to ship, and can offer it as a second-chance or relist it. Expect a Neg from the buyer though (rightly or wrongly).
Personally I'd send it Airsure and risk it, but thats not a recommendation you do the same. I could afford to loose it.0 -
I've PM'ed you the translation arushofblood but it seems the french can't confirm their addresses like we can so it's probably redundant

Actually, thinking about it.... ( I know, but I'm ill
)
... How many days do buyers have to call a chargeback ? As long as I keep hold of the tickets until then I should be ok ?0 -
Too long I'm afraid.0

Thanks aqueoushumour01,
If you get chance, and I'm not being too cheeky, could you perhaps 'compose' something along the lines of:
Sorry, I didn't realise that you are not able to confirm French addresses. Please forward your payment to me again to confirm the transaction. My sincere apologies for any confusion caused. Kind regards0 -
I'd be tempted to ask for a bank transfer.
http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Non-Paypal-International-Payments-made-easy_W0QQugidZ10000000001235915My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
