Could you go into your ISP's webmail service (or browser version of hotmail if relevant). you would then see what is in the inbox, where from etc, and could delete the items, thus avoid them being downloased into yr Live mail

You first need to go to yr webmaill as smos said - its here... http://mail2web.com/login/ sign in and delete all items in yr inbox - if you don't have the right email address (unlikely) and password then contact them.

Second you then need to explicitly report back that you've done that - from your posts its not clear.

Thirdly, you are using Windows Live mail (WLM) Win 7 - the default setting for WLM is to leave items on the server (at mail2web) until you empty your deleted items - so if you delete all items in your inbox on wlm, and then empty the delete folder then items should also be deleted from mail2web - Yes this does duplicate what I sais above, but gives you a second bite.

Lastly, this can happen, if either there is a huge file waiting to downlaod, or there is a corrupted email waiting - so doing what we've been saying - goto webmail and empty the inbox contents should resolve the issue.

If you're still having probs why not contact mailtoweb?

Most of the emails don't go into WLM - don't know where they are going.
I delete my emails on WLM ( although they come again)
I CANNOT delete any on mail2web - says they have been deleted but when I log in again they are all still there.
Thank for advice though. Chrissy

I'm really confused now - how do you know what's happening if they aren't going into WLM??????
I delete my emails on WLM ( although they come again)

Do you then delete them from your 'deleted items'?
Have you looked at the settings in WLM to see if the messages are 'left on the server'?
I CANNOT delete any on mail2web - says they have been deleted but when I log in again they are all still there.
Have you tried your OWN ISP's webmail???

Lets get personal! yr email address is abc@xxxx.yy.zz - just tell us what the bit after the @ sign is so we may be more specific with advice (guessing it might not be mail2web).

Secondly you say "I delete my emails on WLM", but you don't say that you empty the deleted items folder - can you tell us explicitly that have you done that?

Thirdly, You say that you delete them from mail2web, but they just re-appear. Have contacted mail2web, and asked them the same question?

I empty the deleted items folder!
But next time I log on all the emails come into inbox again - new ones + lots of others from days ago _ deleted ones.
All the emails show on mail2web - when I try to delete from there - says they have been deleted - but they are still there.
Name@******.freeserve.co.uk
Sorry if I appear to be thick!

Are you deleting these emails on mail2web site or freeserve?
How do I add a signature?

I don't use WLM, but have it on my PC

Try this -

Open up WLM, then on the left hand side it says 'quick views' then below that it says 'your name' or maybe it will say your e mail address or maybe even freeserve perhaps??
If you 'right click' on this name (not on the in box, the one above that) and then select 'properties and then on the 'advanced' tab, then at the bottom of this box, in the 'delivery' section, try this ...
Leave a copy on server = TICK
Remove from server after = TICK and set the days at 5
Remove from server when deleted from deleted items = TICK
Apply
OK

Then delete all your messages again, then try 'Sync' again and report back

:)
