we've been a member of shopandscan for a good six months or more now and i have to say we love scanning our shopping for a quid a week, they've even increased their weekly points tally for xmas from £1 to £3, more of a bonus than my employers gave me anyway!
my mum also wants to join up to this but i can't see anyway of referring her, is it just best for her to register at http://www.volunteer4panels.com/ ??
can anyone confirm that this is the best way to join/get invited?0 -
Wellsie, If I were your mum I'd sign up at volunteer for panels I don't think there's any way of referring people.
Hope that helps :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

very occasionally when shop and scan are short of certain groups they ask existing members for referrals, over a year ago they wanted over 60s so i referred my step dad i got extra points for initial referral and then something like when he had been a member for 1 month and 6 mths,0 -
I do the factfinders scanning. I had an e mail from them inviting me. I think it was from one of the survey sites. Personally I find it a drag, especially when i do a big shop once a month. It can take me 2 hours to scan. I use my points for cinema vouchers. I guess I have been doing it nearly a year and I got 4 cinema voucher tickets to give away for xmas presents. Does anyone else try to avoid buying loose food so they wont have to do the whole (refer to the product cards performance) ?Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

i do the shopping monitor one and have done for 5 years this one is easy to do and you can get gift vouchers for various high street shops
i also do the iscan for small treats while out and about this is ok to do im not sure about the gifts havent worked out how much its worth yet ..
recently i joined the fact finders one which i find to be a bind and the gifts dont seem that good for the amount of points you have to collect for them also it rings in the middle of the night and wakes all the household too so might give this one up0 -
I thinx tns shop and scan is great..Since starting 2 years ago I have received masses of vouchers. But it leads to other things too. After a year they asked me to send them my petrol receipts also.So in a year I get £60 for shopping,£30 for petrol, about £10 for extra surveys{I got them all in argos vouchers this year},and now I am a mystery shopper with them as well,as well as doing surveys with them for nectar points, they certainally treat you well...0

thats worth knowing then, i'll give her the link and hopefully she'll hear back then, that sounds the best way for her to get invited0 -

I tend to do the same, in fact the rewards do not really justify the time sometimes, so I just do not scan them, same goes for the surveys they send out. Once upon a time we got points for completing survey, now it is prize draw entry. As I never win [who ever does?] I ignore most surveys as wellEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
With Shop and Scan is it just groceries you scan or do you scan all the clothes and anything that has a barcode?0

It's anything that has a barcode, so they don't want to know about loose veg etc. Some barcodes don't scan though, in particular items from Next, anyone else had this problem? Never have any problems with my food shop.0
