popped into garden between showers to pick veg and as soon as am out there mossies bite:mad::mad::mad::mad:,short of going out in a bee keeping outfit don't know what I can do.
fed up as have a nasty oozing area on my side(linked to psoriasis) so having to keep a dressing on it,they are so expensive ...did have some free from docs once then thought I'd just buy them in boots as prepaid pescription now run out:(so embarrassing if I don't cover them as so much liquid comes off...sorry hope no one is eating:rotfl:sun of course helps:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:30 degs in Portugal,we are off in less than a month can't wait, will start to put beauty stuff together ready to take,of course have plenty of minis in stash:)
no post again today(think the postie has given up and run off to the sun ) but have my swap and the SSB box to look forward to:) plus just ordered some curtain fabric as may as well be doing something inside

I do feel for you, those bites are horrid. I used to reat to them in the same way, but for some reason they don't bother me too much now. I used to have to go to work with my legs bandaged under my tights (no tousers worn if offices in those days LOL).

Don't know if it is tru, but I have read that tea tea wash/shower gel and body lotion help some people, might we worth adding a few drops of tea tree oil to stuff you already have, if you have not tried it already.

Rosemary - I second the Avon Skin so Soft dry oil body spray, it has to be the green one though. Last year we were in Northumberland and had gone out for something to eat and had to sit outside as we had the dog and I was driven crazy by the mozzies but the rest of my family were being left alone. I ended up with my jumper wrapped around my head and looking like a complete freak. I am one of those people who gets bitten by every bug in sight.

Have just been into town this afternoon as DD had a 20% off voucher for Clares and it was driving her mad. Now I have two in's to report - Revlon Kissable lip Crayon - like the Clinique Chubby stick - in Cherish, they are £2 off at the moment at £5.99, also Botanics Microdermabrasion scrub, have heard good things about this and this is the first time I have seen it in stock. It was 1/3 off and 100 bonus points from the machine.

Wouldn't have spent anything if we had gone to the Woods with the dog as I suggested:(

Thank you for starting the August thread, Ruby Eskimo :)

I really like your skincare routine - I wish mine was as well thought out/stable as yours. I like Avene but have actually had more success with Vichy (the Normaderm range was good for my skin for quite a while but then my skin started reacting to it :()

Dolly - I love the look of the Revlon pretend Chubby Sticks :D They are top of my list of things I would like to try. Please can you let us know what they are like? I find a lot of lip products drying :(

I really want to try those Chubby stick things as well but keep thinking I have so many lip products that I don't really use already!

I have dabbled with LRP but not Vichy. If things change skin wise then I might have to check them out.

Ha! Same here :rotfl: Loads of lip products to use up. I managed to resist the Revlon Lip Butters when they launched but these look even nicer :o It's quite good that you can try one on an introductory price offer rather than falling for a 3 for 2...(Don't listen to me! :rotfl:)

I'm interested in LRP as well but if I had a routine as settled as yours I would leave well alone! You save money and I'm sure that your skin appreciates you not chopping and changing products all the time :D

I wanted to answer Rosemary's question about a daily routine but I've realised that I chop and change all the time. I'm thinking of having a REN only month to see what happens. Not good for used ups but maybe better for my skin?

Morning routine - wash with whatever gel-like cleanser I'm using (Origins Zero Oil or REN Mayblossom Balancing Cleanser at the moment). Eye cream (using up a Roc one that I'm not keen on :(). Light moisturiser - REN Hydra Calm (from Red mag freebie - love this). After that has sunk in I use Institut Esthederm Fluid Absolue Matite - my HG mattifier. I'm still struggling to find an SPF that doesn't turn my face red and shiny but most of the time I'm inside so I don't need it.

Evening - Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser (HG), separate eye make up remover (currently using up odds & bobs but my HG is the bargain price Garnier Skin Essentials 2-in-1). This month I'm using the REN Omega 3 Night Repair Serum and the REN Frankincense Night Cream - both are lovely :) I use Clinique All About Eyes, which is probably my HG eye cream (it balances out using up the Roc one).

If I use a different cleanser in the evening then I follow it with the Elemis Soothing Apricot Cleanser to make sure it's all removed. I don't seem to need this when I use the Elemis Cream Cleanser though :D

In theory, I use a face mask on Wednesday and Sunday. In practice I often forget! :rotfl: I use whatever my skin seems to need most. If I use a clay cleanser to clean my skin I follow it with a hydrating mask. I only exfoliate once a week as my skin is easily irritated.

That makes my 'routine' look quite settled but as I have a looooong list of things to use up it really isn't

Willowbee - the revlon chubby stick type thing is lovely, it is like a lip balm with a nice pop of colour and it has a very slight minty smell and flavour. The stand had been well raided in Boots so there may be more choice online.

I use a mask on Wednesday's and Sundays too, I use a clay type detox one one day and a hydrating/firming type on the other day.

Forgot my other in from today too, was in M&S and they have launched a new addition to the Floryntina range so I got the 10ml EDT, it was only £3.50 so not going to break the bank.

Went into BS too and had a sniff of their new body mists, amazonian lilly and two others which I can't remember off hand and they smell really lovely. I didn't buy though.
