    Evening all

Lodger paid his rent - whoop - so £325 into the emergency fund.

Was hoping to finish my initial target in July and I am there :D - well proud of myself ! :j

I'm now having a think over whether to extend it to cover true living costs for if something bad happened and I had an enforced extended work layoff, not just mortgage and utilities (which it is at present and no more)

I think I may keep going....but it will be slow and steady. Time to enjoy the benefits of PADing for a few years and put some PAD cash to a holiday I think. Will still definately be attacking the mortgage though.

I kick off my pad's tomorrow (probably middle of the night like normal :j) and then just have 14 days till debt free :j....Wonder if I'll get an anti climax? wondering what to do to celebrate as the drop in is closed the next day and my welfare rights worker leaves next week for a new job?

Anyone any ideas? Maybe a pizza and movie night with a few friends or like coffee with my old cap worker. Don't know.....What do folk reckon? I could make pizza or I could cycle to dominoes and get it in. Only my house is a mess so I'd best get tidying after today LOL.... And I have a bed to dismantle next monday (a high sleeper LOL) and the bedroom to seriously blitz...

So what do folk reckon? I have to tithe and I have to save that week so I won't exactly be rich and like the fortnight later I'm buying a carpet for the lounge cos it desperately needs it but still

Pizza all the way!! Though I would also suggest cake as I'm obsessed with cake at le mo. Any local-ers may have heard of The Lymewood in Haydock. It's a pub but does THE most AMAZING cakes ever. :EasterBun<--- literally this effect :rotfl: But like Pip said, you definitely need to celebrate! Don't forget to cancel the d/d too :rotfl: Love danko xx

I can vouch for this - the slices of cake are so big they are literally a cake themselves!

It was pouring down with rain (pants) and my stomach was playing up and I noticed a festival (arty) on that week I get debt free :j. So I'm off to see a string orchestra and have blagged myself a student ticket so I get to see them for £5.50 in the balcony

I know I will go by myself but doesn't matter. Prayer meeting can wait (tis also that night)...tis YEARS since I've been to a concert at the concert hall :j. Think there might also be a free concert on that lunch time as part of the doo at the mini concert hall :D. Don't know....

And like it's not a direct debit as it's an overdraft (last thing to pay off) and currently about £250 or so (after my pad of today). The loan got paid off ages ago :) and yes I cancelled the DD on that.

Remember to see about early repayment discounts Danko when you do pay off that loan hun. And pay by debit card over the phone. Don't just use online banking. Phone them up. Final payment may be less than you think

And then with debt monies two weeks after that (21st) I'm getting a new carpet for the lounge from a local charity and a friend is going to fit it for me for £15 then maybe we'll see about getting the hall painted for my birthday (in September) and like a new carpet in there? :A (desperately needs it)

So yeah you all ready for my virtual debt free party on the 7th? banana_smiley_47.gifbanana_smiley_25.gif

    Hellooo!

I am so sorry if it would appear that I have abandoned you amazing lot as of late! :grouphug: I am quite annoyed with myself as I have completely gone bonkers despite the summer 'olidays arriving :rotfl:

However, I have completed my NQT year!!! :j :D :j Which means I'm a proper teacher now so yay!

But the low down of late has included:
    • A broken heart (health not boy related :rotfl:)
    • (sashanut will surely agree about her boys) I am STILL gutted about *that* game. My word. Awful.
    • And on the way to the game, I crashed my car!!! Money I will need to find from somewhere :(
    • Spending on my credit card (too scared to check!! but I think it could be like £500 :() because I have been so very bad with my spending.
    • I have a parking ticket to pay (I have disputed as I paid AND displayed) but the Council have refused to accept my outraged letter (any advice...??).
    • And online dating is rubbish :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

But I think I have some other good bits of news to squash some of the rubbish above. You might want to check when I last paid in Andy but I think from the 13th July I can put in £10 worth of PADs.

AND AND AND (drum roll Erme...) it's only 3 days until my 7 year loan is GONE!!!! :j :j :j Are we ready to party!??:beer::beer:

So does anyone have any advice on where I should throw that loan money next month, which debt's best to bust next?

Hope everyone's been OK?? --> looooooooong message! :rotfl: I know if it wasn't for you lot, I wouldn't have busted the £13k I've paid off since I joined in 2009 so mahoosive thank yous. We can do it!!!

    Love danko xx

Och pants danko...but glad you are still on track :T. So where and when for this virtual party? I will bring cake :)...and we'll need alcoholic and non alcoholic booze as well (cos I'm such a lightweight LOL and we might have kids present. We are googleable after all )

I think the best way to work out what debt to hit next Danko is go on here - http://www.whatsthecost.com/snowball.aspx

It's the snowball calculator and without that my macbook wouldn't have gotten paid off so fast :)

    Anyhow back to business

£209.68 to EOD please andy....only about another £252 (including interest) to go
