Help. My laptop has suddenly started to come up with a message saying windows 7 is not genuine. I bought the computer brand new a couple of years ago and it had genuine windows 7 on it. It has an authenticity label underneath the laptop-but this has no serial number and i am unable to find my documents that came with the laptop. Please advise.

Does it have a "product key" number on it?

No, it says proof of license certificate of authenticity and has all the watermarky things

Are you saying the COA doesn't have a 25 digit product key printed on it?

Is the exact message "Windows 7 Build 7600 this copy of windows is not genuine"

    Make and model of laptop?
How do I add a signature?

Thank you, it does and it doesn't. The already uploaded windows 7 is 64bit-I have just found the paperwork and product recovery disk - the recovery disk is 32bit-should I run the disk? There is an alpha numeric code on the disk but my thinking is that it is for the 32bit and won't work on the current programme as it's 64bit. TIA

    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery) and
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 32-bit (Toshiba-Recovery DVD)

The product key for 32bit and 64bit is the same, but you should not need to use the Product key on the 32bit DVD unless you change the Motherboard on the laptop.

    I'm sending you a PM.

Quite a lot don't now. The Refurbisher licence stickers I put on machines don't. Multi licences such as the Family Upgrade which does 3 machines don't even have any CoAs at all.
