I've also written to him telling him that the many workless people are not workshy, they are just workless .. .. due to the lack of a suitable job in general and the recession in particular. Poor people are not workless in fact the majority of poor people are actually in work and do pay tax. The ill and disabled similarly are not ill and disabled by choice, its not laziness and an addiction to daytime tele .. .. its lack of work capability that keeps them home .. .. something LiMA is pre-programmed to disregard.

If you did a little bit more research you would find out that that not all benefits are paid onto that card so those restrictions only apply to certain benefits (normally just the equivalent of JSA). Carers allowance and disability benefits can be paid directly into any bank account

I think it's fair enough for some to be put onto one of these cards, as long as it has either Visa or Mastercard on it so that items can be purchased via the internet with it. It would be daft giving someone one of these cards who has to get home grocery shopping if the delivery service won't accept it.

Those cards for anybody on a means tested benefit, can be rigged that they can't be used for items that the government say are bad for you or you don't really need like fags, booze, drugs, takeaways, and any other unhealthy foods.

And of course - in work benefits must not be able to be spent on these things either.

I don't know why people deplore Jeremy Kyle - he at least tells people to get off their !!!!!! and find a job. Isn't that what we want to happen? Those people would still exist if he wasn't on the telly, we'd just be blissfully unaware ... out of sight, out of mind sort of thing ...

He used to do a talk/problem show on radio and was actually very good at it.
