a lot are an hour out thru the summer as some dont change with BST, but to be 2hours out means its faulty...
I have seen some be out from the basic hour to up to six or seven hours....
contact your supplier and once they send a fitter to confirm it, you can then pursue compo from them....
I didn't think they'd be able to compensate us as they wont know what electric units were used when. I assume it's the person who set it up originally that set the wrong time, or is that not how it works? It pretty much exactly 2hrs out.0 -
To add to misterbarlow's point, there are so e meter settings which actually change in reverse to GMT-to-BST settings hence end up 2 hours out. I've only seen these in one region in the south though but I've never had to check this functionality in Scottish regions so it might be a possibility.
Get your supplier to check and sort it.
Yes, they should compensate you as its a time switch fault if incorrect and if you have paid too much, they should refund you the difference. The issue us tracking it, but they could do that on a new meter with you and work out a credit for the overcharge. Since no one knows when this started, you will have negotiate for the start date if this error.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -

Half way through studying the manual I formed an opinion that electricity prices in Sweden must be significantly lower than the UK. Wrong, they are slightly higher. However domestic gas in Sweden is about x3 the cost of UK gas.

IMO the system is completely inappropriate for UK use in a mains gas area. Its appropriateness for a UK non mains gas area is less clear.
Have to laugh at the comment on page 2 of the manual (my emphasis)...
"FIGHTER 360P is a Swedish-made quality product which will last a long time and run reliably without unpleasant surprises"
OP - is your home in a mains gas area?0 -

No i live in the Orkney Isles. No mains gas here.0 -
Oh and just to add i've realised with my heating system that i have to keep it on winter mode to have any hot water! Grrr. I've turned down all the thermostats so the system is still going but at a very low temperature.
Will give the hydro electric a call on monday and see what they say.0 -

Haha!
I have no idea how his heating system is so efficient. I'm wondering if he was paid a large sum to tell everyone how great it is because it's the only good word i've heard about this heating system!!
The Hydro electric man came back today. He's put a note on our account that the time is wrong and someone should be out to change the meter fairly soon.0 -

Don't put any money on that.
The meter reader can specific a possible faulty timeswitch, but its a data item that not all suppliers have processes for. They should but failures in supplier management have led to these issues.
If you don't hear anything in the next 2 weeks...they haven't worked it, have a process for it or there could be a backlog.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
