I had a 32" LG CRT for ten years (cost £900) until it gave up the ghost at Christmas so I went to Richer Sounds as recommended by the good folks here.
I thought my 32" was big enough but in the end went for a 43" Samsung 3D Plasma for £374.
When I got it home I couldn't get over how big it was, however after a few days I was thinking "should have gone bigger". You soon get used to the size and I am an advocate now of getting the biggest you can afford.
The tv had a fault straight out of the box (loud buzzing noise), Richer Sounds arranged a replacement with no fuss and have definitely secured my further business.
I now need to come up with a good excuse to replace my perfect new tv for an even bigger one this December.

-Although mine has a 3D facility I don't use it a lot, but I have recently watched the French Open on Eurosport 3D and there were moments when I was ducking my head as the tennis balls bounced out the screen-Stunning feature.
