Sticky Stuff From Darkened Windows

Try WD40 if you have some.0

Because it's a standard cheap solvent derssed up it a little posh bottle, and sold for 10x the price. The op wants to clean glue off the windows, not off a tiny patch of the headlights. Labels have either of two types of adhesive base, I use either cheap white spirit, or meths. One or the other will disolve them.
Because of course you can get:
d-LIMONENE
C11-C15 Iso alkanes
C9-C12 Iso alkanes
3-BUTOXYPROPAN-2-OL
In any DIY store.......
It costs the same as a can of WD40
WD40 was designed to displace water, it's name comes from "Water Displacement perfected on the 40th try"
Label remover was designed to........ :>
It's like trying to eat a Sunday roast with a spork, I don't understand why people can't use the correct tool for the job.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You didn't do chemistry did you. (Yes you can) Using label remover all over the car windows is like trying to eat Sunday roast, but with a teeny tiny plastic fork painted silver, that's you've paid a lot for.0 -

And we all know wd40 only has one use.0 -
It has many uses, but only one that it's really good at.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

You don't know what's in WD40 do you? (Compared to lable remover that is?) I wouldn't use it on glass though, as it does actually have some oil in it as well.0

It's not the point.......
A flat headed screwdriver was designed for flat headed screws, you could use it to lever a nail out of a wall, but a claw hammer would be much more effective.
You can make a bomb from plant fertiliser, but a blob of C4 would be much more efficient.
An Ipad was designed to be a tablet PC, you could use it to swat a fly, but a fly swat would probably be the wiser option.
No matter what you say, a product/tool is always designed to do a job. If you want the best results, you should always use the right product/tool for the job.....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

That's ok if you don't understand tools, and if you need them all labelled, that's fine. If you really need two hammers, one labeled claw hammer for removing nails, and another one labeled claw hammer for inserting nails (use other end), and that suits you, ok. Just saying for the rest of us, and for the op, who may not.0 -
I agree that where ever possible you should use the proper tool for the job. Thing is, i have WD40 in the cupboard, Nail varnish remover is something the old woman has knocking about.
I do not however have "label remover"Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..
Bookworm's Thread 2019 reading Challenge total :- 1/600 -
+1 for white spirit, if that doesn't work then meths will probably do it.
Why all this fuss about Label remover being best for the job when the OP isn't removing a label?
Also white sprits and meths will not damage your dashboard coverings - nail varnish remover will.
