Sticky Stuff From Darkened Windows

Ambersil label remover is your best bet...... Used it to remove stickers from my headlights (those one you need for france), previous owner had tried to scrub it off, so when I used the label remover it left a nice clean patch surrounded by scratches and gouges from the last owners attempt.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Nail varnish remover on some cotton wool will do the trick.0

I would go with the nail varnish remover too - it's great stuff. Put it on a clean microfibre cloth instead.0

Citrus wipes are what my wife uses at work to remove old glue from vinyl signs.0

I find lighter fluid (like the kind you use to fill a zippo lighter) works better than nail varnish remover - just put some on an old clean rag (old t-shirts work wonders) and wipe it over. Just remember to thoroughly clean the windows with plenty of washing up liquid/stardrops after, as it does leave a greasy residue

Why is it always so hard to sell the idea of using label remover? The stuff was DESIGNED to remove sticky things!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Because it's a standard cheap solvent derssed up it a little posh bottle, and sold for 10x the price. The op wants to clean glue off the windows, not off a tiny patch of the headlights. Labels have either of two types of adhesive base, I use either cheap white spirit, or meths. One or the other will disolve them.0
