Hello, iv'e changed addresses so i need a recent bank statement which has my new address on it, can HSBC do this in the branch itself, most likely requiring proof of ID (Passport) and my card with me. Or would they have to send me one out causing me to have to wait a week or so.
Anyone got any input? thanx.

Guess it's down to what systems the bank has in branch to do this for you.
They can request one to come in the post, however they may not be able to print off an official statement, but they may be able to do something with your address on and transactions.
Is it a statement you're after or just proof of balance/account? If so maybe the bank can do a letter of some sort for you in that scenario.0 -
yeah that's what i fear, it's for coral betting site requesting a paper bank statement copy, but obviously i wouldn't tell them that, if asked i'd say it was for an interview on Monday.. I'll see what my branch can do tomorrow, if they are d**ckheads to me and trying to take the p*ss and not agreeing to print me a statement off or a change of address letter with stamps on all pages, i'll just kick off a stink and demand to see the manager.0

Have you not heard of internet banking?
They may be able to print off a copy of the last statement issued to you - if it is not the current address tough!
Order a paper statement and wait for it to come through then show that to the bookie.
By the way I'm very happy to take your money without the need for statements - honest I'll give good odds you will make me rich!0 -
Lol, in most cases you end up having to ask to see the manager till you get what you want.
Yes i have internet banking with both Halifax and HSBC.
I require a statement of some form, whilst showing my address on the page. Online printable statements are rubbish, they miss out valid information like your address, etc.
Anyway, i'll see if they will do anything, if not i'll just request one through the post.0 -
HSBC staff cannot print statements in branch that have your address on it.0

They don't have the facility to do so, the statments they are able to print in branch just have your name, the transactions, dates, balances etc.
Your best bet is asking them to send you out a duplicate0 -

Despite banks wanting us to go paperless and do stuff online you would be surprised just how many organisations (including other banks) won't take a printed statement off the internet of your account.
Good luck to you Uranus, :beer:0 -
A duplicate will have his old address surely?
He needs to ask them for an up to date paper statement sent to his new address.
I wonder does it have to be a bank statement - is it purely for id?
How about a council tax bill or copy of your driving licence?0 -

If his address is changed on browser, the new statement sent to the address will have his new address on0
