Telecoms mast erected with cable over garden

Hi folks,
BT have recently, in the past 3 days, erected a telecommunications mast at the side of my property for the purpose of routing a cable overhead to my neighbour two doors down. I live in an end terraced house and the mast was put in the path next to our garden. It's 9m tall and a cable was put in this morning and routed to my neighbour two doors down.
There's a notice on the mast stating the right to object within 3 months and an address to write to. What are the chances of getting this mast removed now it's already erected? They dug about 10 meters of pathway from a BT manhole to route cables to the mast. The cable is directly over our garden and is an eyesore.
Any advice on how to combat this would be greatly appreciated.

It isn't a mast, but a pole (a considerable difference). BT have the right under their universal obligation to provide service, to do this. Quite how you expect them to deliver service otherwise eludes me. It will benefit all properties within its catchment.0

I had the same thing happen to me in the 1970's, but the BT engineer asked me if he could route the cable over my property, and I agreed as it was for my neighbour.
If they have routed a cable over your property, then they must have entered your property to have done so. If they didn't seek permission, BT have committed a trespass."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -

No act of tresspass, and as already noted cable can be thrown over as they have rights over airborne delivery from their pole.0

is the method of deployment similar to other such poles in the area?
Prior example in the area would pretty much make any case for dispute a waste of your time...0 -
We had a BT pole actually in our garden. By the shed. We didn't have a BT phone though. Only cable. We asked about getting connected and was told it would cost £150. We thought it should be free. So we told BT to get their pole out of our garden. And they did. Stupid people at BT no doubt spent more than £150 moving the pole and six lines.I am the Cat who walks alone0

BT entered my garden illegally to add another cable to a pole outside my garden even closer to my house whilst I was at work and scared the living daylights out of my daughter. I am not a BT user. I want the 3 cables removed and also have junction box on my outside wall under eaves ,want it removed. Why can't they bury the cables anyone had success in removal of overhead cables ? I am really angry as engineer ignored my daughter and did not show I.D. he was working also on junction box right outside her bedroom window.0

Why does the technician need to respond to your daughter? How do you know it was BT if he never showed ID, I feel some are whining over pettiness to be fair, the pics above, the pole is in a right of way, so not sure how it is an eye sore:o
