Page 8 also states on the Motorcycle Policies Premier Multi Trip
What to do in a medical emergency that is not connected to a track or race day
so that doesn't really concern me as you can;t expect private medical insurance on a travel policy unless it is an extreme emergency or if you want to pay a premium.
As to the 675 forum I was already fully aware of that posting as it was in Nov 2014 If you re-read my first post you will see that I pretty much alluded to this information. I am confident that Holidaysafe have addressed these issues.
Thanks for your concern though0 -

Check out the Summary of Cover on page 2-3
B8 Possessions Cover of £2k
Not clear that gadgets are excluded unless you opt for Gadget Cover.
I would be surprised if the Ombudsman did not rule against them for not making it very very clear that Gadgets need additional cover

I took out a 6 month long stay insurance for my daughter with Holiday Safe 3 months ago, as she was able to meet up with friends in Asia I was aiming to extend it by another 3-6 months. I checked the existing policy to see if it was still fit for purpose and it became clear to me it may not be! I called Holiday Safe and was informed they couldn't answer my questions and told to contact their claims department, which I did. The young lady in the claims department although polite seemed cross I had been directed to her and arranged for Holiday Safe to call me, which they did. My questions were answered satisfactorily on the phone so I requested written confirmation by email, which she agreed to do. It was confirmed I would receive said written confirmation by 16:00 today, at 15:43 I have had no reply and not convinced that my daughter is adequately covered with a Holiday Safe insurance policy. All I want to do is rectify the problem by taking out an additional policy that adequately covers her! So far not impressed, I'll let you know if my views change or I have to take further action!0

Okay! 15:51 I got an email from Holiday Safe with my concerns dealt with and for my trouble 10% discount for an extended policy. Thanks for your help Sophie.
Please, please read your policy details carefully so much isn't covered and it can be a very costly mistake.0 -
A word of caution when using Holidaysafe as I've found to my cost. I had to cancel our UK holiday halfway through as my father was taken ill and sinking fast. I rushed off to Malaysia and he sadly passed away. On my return, I made a claim for all of £85, enclosing letters from the hospital etc. Unfortunately, none of these documents count. It seems that although one is in distress, one has to take the medical form that is on their website and ask a doctor to fill in a medical certificate. Anything else will not do, not even a death certificate. I find this quite ridiculously restrictive - as some time has passed, there is no way I could get a medical certificate signed for a man who is already dead. It would cost me more in time and money assuming that one of the doctors that saw to him would actually remember him and bother to fill in this form. I will not be renewing my policy for this year.0

Sorry for your loss.
Amber will see this thread soon and I would hope she will just authorise payment of £85 to you. I am sure she will realise that would be the right thing to do in the circumstances.0 -
