Mr Minx eventually got home at 11.30pm and the alarm went off at 6 as usual, so we're all a bit bleary-eyed today. I was looking forward to a nice quiet day, but came back from doing the horses and walking the dog to find that a lovely, lovely customer had spent nearly £600 in my eBay shop and the picking list for her order came to 5 pages of A4 :eek:
So I was able to transfer £1100 from the PayPal account to the bank this morning, which put me in a great mood as I whistled through my to-do list. It was all to-done by 4pm and since the rest of Scotland has snow today and we have this:
- I thought it would be criminal not to take Finn out for a hack
I didn't 'fess up to this last week, but I bought a Heather Moffett seatbone saver (second hand for £20 instead of the £54.95 they cost new - it was half the money Robbie the farrier didn't charge me) and wanted to give it a try out. I didn't like it for the first five minutes, but then it warmed up and softened and now it's never coming off that saddle again
I came back to a slightly muffled message on the answerphone from RBS - don't move, don't breathe, don't speak, but if I've understood it right, my application for an extra £5k of business overdraft has been approved and will be available to me from tomorrow :j:j:j:j:j:j Time to start making a stock wish list!0 -
Great news all round and lovely picture....... em, is that a flying fish in it

I wondered what had happened to the hooded crow. :rotfl:
Great news from RBS. :j I hope their system doesn't crash just as they go to apply it to your account.
No doubt they have already applied it.
What a great sale you had from one customer.

It's been a day of SHOPPING!! I started at one of my UK suppliers, replacing all the stock bought by the lovely eBay lady and the French customer at the weekend, then went to the Hong Kong one and emailed an order through for a quote as the price list I have is dated December 2010. Just the Chinese wholesaler to go, which will take a little longer as it's mostly going to be new lines, but they handily sent me an email overnight saying that they had 15% off everything until the end of the month

And I got my crackle glass beads all listed as well. I'm feeling really positive about things at the moment

Congrats on sorting out the RBS, The new stock is exciting !
Im avoiding beads etc on Ebay at the mo, Im a total addict and sucker for shiny findings & pretty beads, especially lampwork, I have loads hiding upstairs for when I get some spare time ! I said this to my mum and she said the only time you will have any spare time is if you break both legs !! Some days that thought is almost tempting ! lolIts just a bad day, Not a bad life .. :cool:0 -
I've been a bad Minx today. What I should have been doing was going through all my jewellery magazine clippings and working out my Chinese order. What I actually did was get everything packed up as fast as possible and then grab Finn for a quick hack around the village while we still had sunshine

Of course, my luck didn't hold, by the time I'd caught him, tacked him up, taken him up to the road and got on it had started snowing, but we had a nice ride despite him managing to singe his nose by taking a suspicious sniff of the ash pail someone had left on a stone at the side of the road to cool.
Then it was two and a half hours of ironing in front of Geordie Shore and The Following
I've redeemed myself slightly this evening by organising the magazine clippings, but I've run out of clear plastic pockets, so the rest will have to stay loose-leaf until I next order from Euroffice. I'll get the order together tomorrow I hope.0 -
Order done, go me :T:T:T:T It took me the best part of 3 hours and the moment I hit the Checkout button I had a complete panic that I'd bought all the wrong stuff and none of it will ever sell

One of the stock orders from a UK supplier arrived this afternoon and I managed to get all that booked on as well. I've got one more order to arrive in the next few days and then it's twiddle my thumbs time until those two big overseas ones turn up. My freight agent is primed and ready

So disappointed it wasn't a flying fish after all....
That was a pretty impressive "delay" for the train, hope everyone was ok.
