75 minutes of summary typed, 12 orders packed and posted, two spreadsheet files typed and the final ones downloaded, and work done for Mr RPC.
I've also got my laptop back up and running - I haven't quite finished reinstalling everything yet, but enough is done that I can work on it, which is the main thing. It seems to have fixed the annoying issue with Word not shutting down properly as well, so that's a bonus
Hair is looking slightly more normal, though I'm still getting a shock every time I pass a mirror!0 -
Flying through with some scores on the doors on a very cold, wet, miserable north Scotland day.

hi!
So, its taken me a little while but I have read all 3 of your diaries. OMG impressive! So happy for you paying away so much debt.
I am superscribing too!
Catch up soon. PS Italian Lakes for holidays? Can I suggest Lake Como but the cheap side? Amazing place and so reasonable... happy to help with more info as my mum has a place there too. x

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

All three?? Wow, glutton for punishment
Seriously, I'm very honoured you took the time, thank you
The Italian Lakes seems to have morphed into Vienna - Mr Minx has been invited to speak at a conference there and it looks like his work (a) is fine with him doing it and (b) doesn't mind him tagging some holiday time on the end of it so I can fly out and join him. If the dates tally up with dates I can get an Avios flight from Edinburgh, even better!
I've been travelling all day and am currently in a Travelodge in Central Londinium. I nearly didn't make it - someone was moving sheep down the road last night and to stop them going down our drive, closed our gate. This wouldn't have been a problem other than we'd taken it off its hinges and left it leaning against the fence because it's been windy and it was pulling the post it's usually fastened to out of the ground. Whoever put it back on didn't quite line it up with the hinges and twisted it, so when I tried to open it at 6.30 this morning, the spring bolt was jammed and I couldn't lift it off at the hinges to free it either. Fortunately Mr Minx had got up to wave me off rather than going back to sleep and came running up the drive to help. He managed to free it by levering it up with a spare fence post and it promptly dropped onto my toes (bear in mind this is a 12ft galvanised field gate and HEAVY!).
Everything after that went pretty smoothly. I'd allowed three and a half hours to get from home to Inverness train station (usually three is safe, but if I missed the train I was truly knackered and I wanted to stop at the BP garage for an M&S picnic lunch) and discovered that if you don't meet a single other vehicle on the single track strath road, you can get there in two
I'd prebooked a seat with a power socket and had a very comfy journey to London. It was nearly an hour late, but that wasn't actually Virgin's fault - another train had failed at Newcastle, so they took all the passengers on board and added in some extra stops. Apparently they're going to give me 50% of my ticket price back under their Delay Repay thing, albeit in rail vouchers, but hey, that's fine
It's very hot and very noisy down here, but I have my London buzz back. I really do like the place in small doses

No, spot on, spent the day in West Sussex yesterday with Mr RPC and his team and had a very, very productive meeting. Now doing his accounts for him as well

Ha! No, it didn't! I did manage to lose half a stone (probably a bit more now because I didn't get a proper meal between Saturday lunchtime and Monday night), but decided that even if the zip did up (I didn't try it when I was packing), it would still be too tight to be comfortable and reverted back to my plain black shift dress with a scarf to brighten it up a bit. Turned out to be a good choice as the other three ladies on his team were all wearing something very similar, so we looked nicely themed for the headshots taken for his website
I shall save the red one for a nice meal out with Mr Minx some time
