I know what you mean about the interest increasing even though the balance has decreased. I phoned them once and apparently it was because there was a different length of time between statements. This can be caused by a 30 day month and then 31 the next month.
Well done on the payments made to the cards and more importantly on the money from Amazon. :T :j.:DJune 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday dear me, happy birthday to me!
Yes, I'm 37 today and not actually feeling very birthday-ish. This could be because I'm sitting in my office watching the rain and feeling broke, which is a distinct contrast to last year's birthday when I was lying next to my just-married husband looking out over an infinity pool to the mountains at a very nice hotel in Mauritius with waiters bringing me mocktails!
Anyway, that means it's 1095 days until I'm 40, which is my target date for getting the debt knocked on the head, so how am I doing? As of this morning, personal and business debt totals £20,263.75 (I'll update the signature on Friday), which means I need to pay back capital at a rate of £18.51 a day to make it - this is 39p less per day than when I started this diary a couple of months ago, which is heartening
I've PADded £1 to the overdraft and paid £500 off the horrible-rate-Barclaycard, which is making me feel good. At the moment, cashflow is looking fairly healthy. I have £2,541 available and the following to come out: stock £108 (cheque written but not banked), drawings £1500 (1st Sep), eBay fees about £350 (about 10th Sep), office bills about £100 (between 16th and 20th Sep), stock £1454 (16th Sep) and Royal Mail about £800 (around 20th Sep). So between today and 20th September I only actually need to find £1771 to meet the basic business commitments, which should be fairly easy.0 -

A flying visit this morning as the power is going to be off from 10am until 4pm and I have to get the orders done and dusted before it goes (a transformer at the local substation got hit by lightning on Monday and the electricity board has to shut the whole area down to swap it out).
Got my second Amazon voucher from Swagbucks yesterday and sold a couple of things on my personal Amazon account for a £14.49 PAD. I was going to go out today while the power's off, but think I'll be good, stay at home and tidy the house up - it'll be a nice surprise for Mr Minx when he gets home from work0 -

That's a bit more like itI'll get one more week of it looking good and then it's payday a week on Saturday so that's £1500 gone out of the business account, but next week's sales should offset that to some extent.
Finn's bargain eBay rug has arrived and is much better quality than I was expecting - a good, heavyweight fabric but no lining, so it'll keep him dry on Monday night when we're expecting torrential rain with gusts up to 45mph. For £8 plus postage I don't think I could have done better.

Didn't do too badly at Tesco today - the bill was £67.17, brought down to £60.58 with coupons and multibuys. Fortunately the Blu-Ray disc Mr Minx wanted was out of stock
Really struggling with the Swagbucks today, I seem to be getting disqualified from every survey I try. I've got 38 out of today's target of 60 simply by watching videos and doing the daily poll and no spend offer. Still, I'm over half way to my third £5 Amazon token, so I shall keep ploughing on.0
