Just a quickie today as I'm off to Inverness again later - dentist this time for a check up on my braces and a session with the hygienist. For those of you wondering, yes, there are closer dentists (although not by much, the one in Thurso went under a few years ago and someone has only just re-opened it), but this is the nearest one that does Invisalign.
T-B-F-K-A-E has been fed £79.44 this morning. As long as nothing financially disastrous happens, I should be on track to keep the personal debt under £10k at the end of the month - 22 more days to make it through!0 -
Fab news about you feeling better !
Dizzy moment !! Can I ask what T-B-F-K-A-E??
Thanks - have a safe trip ! Xx0 -

The business increase is down to a VAT bill of £2,287.51 coming out of the account this morning. If I'd had my Amazon disbursement on the correct date :mad::mad: there would have been a negligible increase of about £200 on that account. The money on the Tesco card was a bag of Speedibeet for the horses, that'll last three or four months, and the increase to the overdraft was two tanks of diesel (3 trips to Inverness in a week is 660 miles!), one Tesco shop and the £44.95 for my neighbour's fly sheet which I got back in cash. I should be OK for fuel for the rest of the month now and I have £39.50 in the diesel budget to carry over to next month.
Remember a couple of weeks ago I reduced the credit limit on T-B-F-K-A-E? Guess what was waiting for me when I got home yesterday? A 0% balance transfer offer on that card :wall: I can transfer about £400 from the Post Office card onto it, unless they'll put it back up again for me. I shall go and try now...

OK, that's annoying - logged in, clicked on 'transfer a balance', got a message saying "You have no balance transfer offers available." This wasn't an insert with a statement, it was a stand-alone letter addressed to me. I've sent them a secure message to find out what's going on.0

How very annoying of Amazon. At least you can mentally add it in to your figures so they don't become disheartening."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Tut tut, I missed making an entry yesterday (probably much to the relief of everyone who reads this waffle
). In my defence, I was quite literally making hay while the sun shines - I was helping my neighbours bale and bring in 461 bales.
Today Mr Minx and I are finishing painting the dining room as it has to be done before the carpet fitters arrive on Tuesday. We've gone for a lovely warm Cotswold stone yellow with white woodwork and we're having an oatmeal carpet (which I haven't actually seen yet, Mr Minx is the interior designer in this household!) put down. Mr Minx is going to replace the 60s chipboard windowsill with slate and we have an oak table and chairs to go in there - I think it's going to look pretty good when it's done.
I'm now even more annoyed with TBFKAE than I was before. They've replied to my message saying yes, I do have a balance transfer offer available, but I still can't see it online. I then read the letter very carefully and thanks to the maximum limit on transfers, I can only get £230 moved across anyway, so I logged into my account and tried to put the limit back up to the £4,500 it was a couple of weeks ago before I lowered it and they won't do it :mad::mad::mad::mad: I can't WAIT to get rid of this card, it's going to be an immense pleasure to ring them up and close it! (To be fair, they probably can't wait to get rid of me either, as they're probably quite nervous about the liability they have with both TBFKAE and the card I use for the business).
Chuffed to see that my PADs have crept over the £1000 mark in just 43 days. When I started this diary I worked out that I had to pay off £18.90 a day without including the interest to clear my debt by my 40th - I'm currently averaging £23.25, so although I need to step it up a little bit to take the interest into account, I'm not that far off0 -
Shhhhh, you haven't seen me here this morning, because I have SO much to do today it's untrue! By 8am I'd already mucked out the field, moved the electric fence to give the horses some more grass and got the first load of laundry on. The rest of today's list is as follows:
- [STRIKE]Do the rest of the laundry[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Change the bed linen[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Pack and post 40 orders (including 2 very long, complicated ones)[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Finish painting the dining room before the carpet fitter comes tomorrow[/STRIKE]
- Mow the lawn (it'll be the last chance for a week if you believe the forecast!)
- [STRIKE]Go out for dinner with Mr Minx to celebrate our first wedding anniversary today[/STRIKE]
Yesterday evening turned out to be quite profitable; I claimed my first Swagbucks £5 Amazon token (the idea is to bank enough before Christmas to pay for Mr Minx's stocking) and wrote a 600 word article on How To Get Into Equestrianism for someone on Textbroker which should pay me €7,18 once it's approved.
I really am going now, honest.....0 -
Happy Anniversary Caz
