FB A "thank you" is lovely, isn't it? The dog-sitting agent forwarded a lovely email she had from the "mum & dad" of two of my guests; it sort of makes it all worthwhile.:o Oh, and don't feel bad about failing one of your students; better that she fail now and have chance to re-evaluate her career choice than be let loose on the public when she's not up to scratch for the job.;)

Thank you LW. I feel better about failing her today, it was the correct decision. And it was exactly for those reasons, she is not ready to move onto actually working in that role, and TBH I have serious doubts about whether she ever will be! The hard part is that in order for her to submit her portfilio to be given the chance to resit next year, she MUST complete her placement, which means she has to come back next week for 3 days. This will be tough for both her, me and the organisation to handle as she clearly does not want to return! Ah well

I'm so glad it's the weekend, be nice to chill out and do very little.

Not looking forward to little bear being a teenager - he is bad enough as it is! I have heard that boys are easier than girls. Good luck to the mums out there. .

SOME boys are easier than SOME girls, but I promise you, they all have their moments.

Went to the great metropolis today - Newport. Was very restrained and only gave in to a book by Mary Berry in Smith's sale. Then went to our wonderful 'Easyweigh' shop. Do other towns have these? There are big tubs of things like sugars, flours, cereals, spices etc and you scoop out as much as you need. Cheaper, less packaging and you can have as much or little as you want. I go there to get my Doves Bread Flour but also stocked up on caster sugar, cocoa and porridge oats while I was there. Then, as it was gone 2.00pm and we'd had nothing to eat since 7 this morning, (shock! horror!) we treated ourselves to a jacket potato in a little cafe.
Just off to another jolly meeting.

Another long day at work but it's the weekend so we can relax for a couple of days. WM is on DW waiting to be unloaded.
Have a good evening everyone, I'm off to ravish my beloved.

good evening everyone I had a lovely dinner of salmon and cheesy mash and peas from the freezer so NSD for me today.DGS Ben came this morning and did some more of my garden for me including cutting back some overhanging tree branches.Tonight DD brought his hired suit home and he tried it on and he looks gorgeous in it(normally scruffs around in a Tee shirt and shorts.) DD gor quite teary seeing her eldest boy looking so grown up.His 'prom' is this weekend and hopefully he will get a nice young lady to catch his eye .The last time he had a girlfriend was about 18 months ago and bless him he treated he like a proper gentleman bless him and spent all of his birthday cash on a beautiful silver bracelet for her for Valentines day and the next day she went off with his mate he was gutted and it put him off of girls for a long while (he took up fishing and playing his granddads guitar instead :))
He's a good lad but quite shy at times, although he's got lots of friends, but he gets embarrassed easily and a bit tongue-tied around girls and blushes a bit but he is not 17 till Christmas so he's got lots of time.
dentist was all good though and I only needed a polish which was great.
At History club this afternoon we did the Abervan disaster What a dreadful thing it was to happen to those poor villagers and their children I can remember it very clearly and it still seems unreal 46 years later
Well I'm off to watch some midless t.v. and put my feet up Have a good evening everyone what ever you are doing
    Thinking of you nmlc
