    Morning everyone.
Been busy week with appointments, sports days, errands, forest school etc. didn't post yesterday but was out driving in the horrendous weather yesterday  was glad to have a 4x4 I can tell you. Never known weather like it.
Anyway very blustery here, not sure I will risk a load on the line, it's sunny ATM but I got soaked walking the dog this morning.
Got a cooked chicken to strip, twinks to bake and bathroom to clean. And the usual daily vac. Off to DSs last ever forest school this afternoon, had better break out the waterproof trousers as the woods will be very mucky!

Tea will be something involving chicken. That's about as far as I've thought :rotfl:

Nmlc hugs for you, thinking of you x

Tru exciting having a start to your fund :)

Islandmaid :( at your DD, I hope she comes to her senses ASAP and realises just how lucky she is to have a mum like you, a family that care. And as the there's said, you didn't ruin her birthday SHE did. Actually send her to this thread, we will give her a right good talking too ;) xxx

Those of you with proms hope everyone has a great time :)

Hugs and spoons all round xx

Taplady - Well done you, I wish you many a happy trip in it (re-read that as I am very jealous!). We have had a few very good holidays in a camper van, DHs work had some that you could hire. Enjoy.

Hope all those with proms have a good time. Take care. XX

Nmlc hoping all goes well today. (((HUG)))

FB A "thank you" is lovely, isn't it? The dog-sitting agent forwarded a lovely email she had from the "mum & dad" of two of my guests; it sort of makes it all worthwhile.:o Oh, and don't feel bad about failing one of your students; better that she fail now and have chance to re-evaluate her career choice than be let loose on the public when she's not up to scratch for the job.;)

Judi if those new meds are causing you problems, get thee back to the doctor and tell him! Sometimes one version of a med isn't the right one, there may be something else he can offer, or at least some advice on coping, or tell you if these side-effects will wear off shortly or something. But don't just sit and suffer.

I put a load of towels and hankies out, also some cleaning rags I'd washed, early on; they were out for a while, then it started spitting with rain, so I brought them in. It's sunny again now, but I'm damned if I'm playing the Washing Hokey Cokey; they can stay in now! You can bet your boots if I put them out again, it'll rain again!:D

I thought I was all caught up with the washing; but I just peeked in the wash-bin and Mr LW has sneaked his Trousers-Of-Many-Pockets (combat style trousers with loads of pockets down the legs he sometimes wears at home) in there.:( Bum!!:p
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Not looking forward to little bear being a teenager - he is bad enough as it is! I have heard that boys are easier than girls. Good luck to the mums out there.

Thanks LameWolf. I need to give these tablets time to work. My doc and the pharmacist warned me about the side effects but told me i should get used to them given time. Ive got a months supply and if i dont feel any better or theres no decrease in my blood pressure i will have to go back down to see him. The only combination that actually worked caused a huge amount of water retention which couldnt be sorted with a water tablet. The new tablet he gave me to go with the others slows down the heart apparently and i just feel out of it.

Anyway, less of my moaning. The sun is shining and i'm just off in the bath. Good afternoon all.

    Afternoon all,

Hugs to anyone who has been affected by the horrible weather....last few days here we have had rain at night only andnice weather in daytime....looks as if its about to rain now so am watching the clothes I put online a while ago and won't put out the ones just finished in machine.

Spent half an hour cursing and shouting while remaking the beds in DD2's room( when she and the girls come from London)...it has one of those double bed with a bunk over things, not sure what its called and despite my best efforts could not get sheet sorted on bunk....not would the b***dy duvet and cover co-operate....OH came in to see what was wrong ( when I was finished of course) and laughed his head off....he was lucky he didn't get a thump! All done now but have decided that in future I will just supply the clean linen and have them make up the bunk themselves!

We are meant to be going out to a senior citizens' party to-night....I will go but not sure about OH, have left complete set of clean clothes on bed for him....wonder if he'll remember why!

Dinner is ham, turnip and cabbage with new potatoes....which are not as 'floury' as usual this year I think, although flavour is good.

Special hugs for you to-day nmlc.

Kind thoughts for those of you with stroppy teenagers....my eldest 2 (girl and boy) never caused me any trouble, but the other 5 made up for them...

Taplady....saw your camper on FB and feel very jealous, although as OH is even more handless than me would have to go for something new so will put it our of my head....wishing you many happy holidays...come to Ireland and we'll have a meetup.

Hugs to all not mentioned....you deserve one.

    Marie
