Technically, but not really because there was no time limit on how long you can stay in the store and use the wristband...admittedly how long you're willing to stay depends on what time it started and your will power.
Mine started at 9, got there 9.10 and spent over an hour in there precisely because I knew they would bring things out later. I looked online first and pre-decided what I wanted. So when I didn't see what I was looking for, I knew it would come out later and it did.0 -
I normally do the online sale but last year missed out on the wristbands as I didn't have a store easy enough to get to.
They've opened a big one this year on a local retail park so I organised for OH to go into work late so he could have the children before school until I got back.
Got to the store about 7.45...waited and counted the people in the queue... I was about number 32 so was really pleased (according to the website the store was allocated 60 wristbands).
When the doors opened at 8am, one guy came and randomly handed out 3 or four wristbands to people in front of me in the queue... and said 'these are the last wristbands you lucky people'
!!!!!!?? the lady in front of me in the queue followed him in and said 'the website said you've got 60 wristbands' . he said no, we only had 50 allocated...
no way were there 50 people in the queue in front of us! All I can assume is that the staff held the majority of them back for friends etc.. :cool:0 -
I got all I wanted online this morning. I think RI stuff is pretty good in the sale, better quality than places like topshop, dorothy perkins etc that are a similar-ish price. I don't know why people are so in love with their bags though, I find them to be so garish and generally revolting!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

I went into RI in the Victori@ Centre (Belf@ast) and my OCD went crazy due to the disorganisation! The clothes were roughly in sections (e.g. tops, shorts etc) but there was no method at all to the sizing and I actually just couldn't face going through everything - there was SO MUCH in the sale, practically the whole shop!
Sooo. I went to the jewellery bit and spend £6 on jewelleryWas a bit embarrassing as everyone else had heaps of stuff and there's me with 2 pairs of earrings, a ring and a bracelet :rotfl:
Think I'll just go on the site and order some bits.Feb wins: Angry Birds mug, £250 Perfume Shop bundle0
