Eldest 2 both brownies, eldest started Guides and hated it so stopped going, other one loves it and still goes. Both did swimming and gymnastics and ballet, both dropped ballet, middle one is a fish and swims competatively, eldest still does gym but for fun not competative. They both have free lunchtime clubs and play on school teams (hockey and netball) I think they do way too much, but their choices not mine :)

    DD 5 does gymnastics 2 x 90 minutes $45 a month, swimming $43 for 10 x 30 minute lessons, and dance once a week 45 minute session $26 a term.

The extras are competition entrance fees for gym $8 and her dance shows twice a year at $6 a ticket. Leotards which can be as cheap or as expensive as you need and dance shoes.

She also goes to Sunday school which is free.

DD is an only one it looks a lot but she has 3 days a week of nothing after school. Her name was down for brownies but I took her off the list as she is doing enough.

Apologies for the dollar sign my pound sign key doesn't work.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

My DD goes to youth club twice a week which costs 50p each time and another pound to get a drink and snack.
Shocking how much you can end up paying for clubs :-(
I was paying for swimming lessons at about £60 per term but she only needed 3 terms til she was able and confident that she can now go on her own.
You may find your child doesn't need many swimming lessons and can go back to dancing before missing too much and by then they will hopefully be doing swimming at the school?
I did pay for violin lessons at £150 for the 3 terms but it was a complete waste of money and DD could not do anything at the end of the course that she couldn't do at the beginning (mainly making a terrible noise lol)

My DS (10) goes to trampoline class twice a week £8.50
    Gymnastics once a week £5
Sea cadets once a week which there are no subs at the moment but I have just paid £23.50 for a t shirt and jumper.
He did do cubs but had to chose between that and gym as they were to close together on the same day.

It is alot but he enjoys it, and works hard (95%) of the time. Maybe as he gets older the interest will stop but so far he's dreaming of being a coach for both trampoline and gymnastics. Not sure how the sea cadets will fit in though:rotfl:

    Outside 'school' hours, DD(10) does:

    Guides £25 a term
    Drama £58 a term
    Indoor climbing £3.50 a fortnight

She also does a dyslexia class at the weekend but I count that as home-ed when budgeting.
