How much money can we legally carry without declaration?

We, a family of four (2 adult, 1 child, 1 infant) going out of EU. I understand the €10000 limit. But I could not find any information about child and infant limit. Will it be €10000 times 4 or €10000 times 2?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Aside from any legalities I think you may struggle to find any travel insurance that will cover you for the loss of that much cash.0

Are you going out permanently or on holiday? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I'm not aware that there are any limits on taking funds out of the UK, and I'd be surprised if the Eurozone countries have one. Limits may apply in the country you are going to but as you haven't told us where that is we can't really help.0

Not cash, bank draft or TC.
Hi,
Would you not be better to open a bank account where you are going (before going) & use someone like smart currency to move the money??

You are allowed to take €10,000 out of any EU country before you have to declare it to HMCE at the point of departure. (This limit only applies if you are travlling to a non EU country.
It is not only cash that must be declared, but also cash equivilents such as bank drafts and travellers cheques.
I know this for a fact as I occasionally have to carry large wads of money for the company I work for, and I always make sure that the declaration form is filled in before I get to the airport.
I've done this 6 times now, and provided you can prove where the money is from and what it is intended for, (if asked), you won't have any problems or delays.0 -
You should check the rules of where you are going as you may have to declare all money - or large amounts of cash will be confiscated0
