HMRC PAYE end of year late return fine

i had real problems doing our year end online submission this year, i'd done a test submission without even realising it, then the actual submission looked like it had failed no matter how many times i tried it. it took about 4 phone calls to HMRC before it was cleared up & they could confirm safe receipt of a full admission. they even said that the online messages are confusing for the end user! i'd definitely appeal against it, good luck
