Have you tried the tool in the boot that removes the wheel ?
You revolve the wheel and it has a slot, put the tool in the slot and tap.

I've tried the lot. Loosening the bolts, driving in circles, large lump hammer and a piece of wood on the inside, usually lying on my back and kicking the bottom of the tyre with both feet from the outside works. Although the last one took me hitting the inside bottom, and someone else kicking the outside top. Don't kick it off the jack or axle stands though.

the rac man had to get gas torch and heat my wheel up when mine seized on

Are you sure you're not mixing that up with your magic wand?

    Okay... done it.

Unarmed with a mallet, but a hammer it was difficult (the hammer was useless btw). It took hours to change the front 2 wheels :0.

A more unusual approach though, unscrewed the bolts about a CM and pulled the wheel hoping that and the weight of the car would force out -- it worked!

The second wheel was even more difficult. Unscrewed the nuts slightly and went for a drive about 100yards (private road btw), took another go and all it requires was a good kick and a pull and jobs done :)

Thats 3 hours of my life i'll never get back :(

I have the following items in my boot:

    - jack
    - wrench thing
    - 2 wheels
    - a scarf (my favourite scarf in fact! Not sure how the heck it got in there)
    - a high visibility jacket

Which one of these items will remove my wheel ? :D

EDIT: just remembered, I also have a piece of string and a partially rusty butter knife (?)

How does that make the wheels rust onto the hubs?

    MK2 Mondeo?

They have separate part numbers for hubs with steel wheels or alloy wheels.

    Known problem on them.

I had a brake disc rust itself solid on one. Had to cut it with an angle grinder and split it with a chisel in the end.

Tried to change my front wheel today Which is flat but having jacked it up and removed the bolts the wheel wouldn't budge. After ten minutes of trying to remove it and gently knocking it with my foot it was still not willing to negotiate!

Any tips to help get this wheel off would be great fully received...
get it upon axle stands, left or right lock the wheels and then using a chunk of wood on the wheel not the tyre, hit the wood hard with a hammer spin the wheel and hit a new spot. keep doing this until it comes off.

to prevent this some copper grease on the hub where it comes in contact with the wheel
