NHS Trust taking 60% share of the revenue generated by PCNs

I made a FOI request a few weeks ago with regards a local hospital to ask a few questions about the PPC monitoring the hospital car-park.
Within the response that I got, I was advised that the NHS Trust for that hospital was taking a 60% share of the revenue generated by PCNs as soon as the revenue exceeded £4k per annum. The remaining 40% went to the PPC.
In order to protect my identity, I won't reveal the hospital or NHS trust but I think that it is safe to assume other NHS trusts have very similar arrangements.

Hmmm, well 60% of nothing is zero, which is what I suspect they'll be getting very soon.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
Well, perhaps our already high taxes aren't enough to keep all those layers of middle management in BMWs.......0

Could you explain in a bit more detail please.0 -

From the Liverpool part of your username, I think we can guess which NHS Trust might be involved. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

You realise that FOI requests, their responses and their originator are publicly available?
Just kidding
If we're talking about Aintree though, you appear to have done well to get a reply in a short space of time. Looks like their FOI requests re parking are usually long overdue, e.g. http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/car_parking_enforcement#comment-24688
Not sure that all trusts would have the same arrangement - not wholly safe to assume that they're all similar. Other FOI requests have suggested that it's only the cost of unpaid parking which is reclaimed from the PCN. If I were a landowner employing a PPC, I'm not sure I'd want any more than that - what happens when the wheels truly fall off, and every other advert is for PCN Reclaim?0 -

The NHS head honchos round here don't go near a hospital unless they absolutely have to - Both their finely appointed new office sites are well away from the rest of the staff.
And they don't have PPC-controlled car parks either - Barriers and intercoms to reception rule the day here. Oh and the finest outdoor smoking shelters I have yet seen in the UK.0 -
Aintree don't use a PPC they do it in house then if unpaid are sent to Trethowans solicitors.
The Royal Liverpool don't have a PPC as their parking is only for staff and permit holders. Broadgreen use Vinci, who have pay on exit car parks! They do have signs around the roads saying the usual T&C's but I have never seen a post regarding a ticket there!0 -
Just to clarify, I used to live in Liverpool but moved away from there a while ago so my post does not refer to any Liverpool NHS hospitals or trusts.
I need to update my MSE profile sometime.:eek:0 -
I wonder whether anyone has made a harassment claim against an NHS Trust for this sort of behaviour?0
