    Thank you for your response. I did comply with my landlord and I did give the correct notice period, in fact I am on good terms with my landlord and I will absolutely consider asking if they could provide something in writing.

    That's good news. Given what your landlord has being trying to, they seem OK. I did notice one error in an early post where the landlord stated they were responsible when you left but it is the remaining tenant. The landlord is responsible inbetween tenancies.

    So, if you were on your own and ended it early in the correct t manner under the tenancy agreement, the utilities would revert to the landlord. This is where a tenancy agreement can again mislead a supplier as they can't see that you left early if the landlord chooses to conceal it.

    Other than that, the landlord seems very helpful which is good news for you, some are a very different story!

    The only other issue I noted was when you said you lived there but were not the named account holder. Again, once they get a copy of that tenancy agreement, they add all the names on.

    Sounds like the only issue you will have left is the shared use up to the point you left. Whilst the supplier adds you and the other tenant to the account, they need to start a fresh account for the sole remaining tenant for the day after your tenancy ended early. The problem here is that they need a reading to do it. Did you take one? If not, they will have to estimate one.
