Just tried to order this, but they have declined my card because their site asks for a start date, but my card does not have one.

Does anyone know a way around this?

It is not free...

You have to buy it first using quidco, which gives you £8 cashback and then virgin gives you £10 free credit which effectively means you get your money back.

I paid by VISA and the "start date" box was shaded out (even though my card DOES have a start date). I think the "start date" is only required for Switch cards, so if you select any other type of card from the drop-down menu, you shouldn't need to enter a start date.

Yes... I've worked it out now - just had to guess what my start date was and I seem to have gotten it right as I have just received the payment confirmation email. :j

Does Quidco give you the £8 money back straight away?

Further update on unlocking the phone - it appears that once you have spent at least £30 in calls using the phone, if you call Virgin (789 from the phone) they will give you the unlock key for free.

No,my experience with virgin is after 4 weeks.
the avg time of the payment is given right next to the company info.

there is a software to unlock these phone which is just recently out.
also,
if u have more than 1 of these phones best thing
is topup ur 1sim with £30 then give same no to virgin to unlock all the phone different time....!

Phone arrived today and it comes WITHOUT a sim card!!!! I have one already, but thought they would send you one with this...
