  • aliasojo couldn't agree more - saw this story the other week so it just shows how animals can help ...... warning - be prepared for some eye leaking - I find it truely amazing how animals just "know" when they're needed http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2160079/How-love-Billy-stray-cat-finally-brought-year-old-autistic-boy-shell.html

I'm confused. They can afford injections for the animals but not maintenance costs?

Best of luck to them, I'm going to take a look at the site and see if I can help :)

Thankyou so much for caring and responding to my post. I do hope everything works out for the animals. I did put forward a suggestion to the sanctuary to try a texting service to attract donations as I find it easy to donate in this way. I saw an advert recently for a donkey sanctuary and the text cost £1.50 with I think £1 going to the cause and if there are enough donations this way it soon adds up. Thanks again Shrewdalx

And where is the 50p going to?

Sorry but really do nto like this type of schemes where only part of the money donated goes to the cause - I would rather tranfer any money I could directly than let anyone have a third of it. Just does not seem right :(

Hi Thanks for your comments, I was only putting forward a suggestion about a service that is used often in this multi media world. I assume the money i.e. 50p goes to the telecommunications company who sets it up and of course v.a.t. to the exchequer. I would not knock this way of donating as in current times something is better than nothing for these poor creatures. shrewdalx
