    Anything in the licensed trade is a high risk insurance wise. A) you might have a drink yourself and then drive home, B) customers may well drink too much and then drive home, either on the same roads as you or damaging your parked car in the process and C) it's generally quite a tiring job, so you may not be fully alert when you drive home.

    Makes sense really.

    Being a student is also high risk. I'm amazed you got figures less than £1k for her. What's the excess?
