Heard back from independent fostering panel today, it's a 'no' for me to foster (which I hoped and expected) but by appealing the initial decision, I have managed to highlight major concerns within my local SS and get them to review and change their procedures with regards to newly approved carers. That's what I set out to do and have achieved it so feeling quite pleased. Just hope no other carer has to put up with what I did from my local SS

No! Lol, they were terrible, no support, no contact and left us to fend for ourselves as new carers with a prem withdrawing baby. They put the parents needs waaaaaay higher than ours and this was highlighted in the panel ( which I'm very pleased about :D) SS were asked why they felt the parents deserved to have so much of their time and attention :D the only reason I wasn't reinstated is because they felt I wouldn't be able to work alongside SS anymore....you don't say!!

Nat that's terrible. I don't think I could have worked with them again after tht either. I'm glad they were questioned about it though. Well done for appealing.

Hey vixen, I believe it might be american? They are very similar to UK ones but I think @ is also elsewhere on the board? Is this it?

vixen, nice to see you back :)

does the keyboard actually have # where the £ is usually found? or is when you press £ it comes up #. If the latter, you need to check if you have USA keyboard settings.

Goto start, Control Panel, Clock, Language and Regions, Region and Languages, check format is English united kingdom, check location is United Kingdom, check keyboards and languages. Click on change keyboards, if you see US keyboard, remove it. then reboot.

    hopefully this will fix it.
