Hi all.
Nat do you think stress may be a factor with your sons "accidents"? Not blaming you AT ALL so please don't take this the wrong way. Maybe he has picked up on the stress levels in the house since your students bad behaviour and this is how he has dealt with it? Not really sure how to deal with it though so can't give you any advice. Sorry
£15 to add for me for cleaning. Nearly managed to get another £20 for filling in for someone who was poorly but my mum beat me to it  these oldies need putting in their place :rotfl:
Hope everyone is wellGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
No pennies today
Nat, with your son, obviously it's difficult for others to judge different punishments as different things work for different children, and obviously we don't know your son.
But is what you've said sustainable? I.e. will you be able to follow through with it (and please excuse my use of the phrase 'follow through' given the subject matter)
9 is very old to be doing that at school - I would have thought these days that even at 9 there is a pressure to fit in socially, and I would have thought soiling his pants would have had the opposite effect to that, no?
Again, it's much different to say when you're outside of the situation, but spending that long sitting on the stair sounds like a really long time for a 9 year oldBut if you believe it will work, and can stick with it for the full 4 days, then go for it I guess.
In the grand scheme of things a few hours for 4 days isn't really much I suppose, thinking about it.. ???
Did you do that today? How did it go? (Sorry, didn't see what time you posted about it) xHalf of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Yep did it today too, had he not have already been doing time he would of been sent there anyway! He was a cocky so and so and needed to be put in his place! I hate it when he's like that, I give him an inch and he takes a mile. Today I integrated chores alongside me with sitting on the stairs, seemed to work but the after dinner he pushed his luck and started chatting back in front of the students to show off. Soon sorted that out
He is very old to been doing it and although it wasn't a full um, 'job' it was enough to make him smell. He's not stupid and is well aware of what he's doing. It started 2 years ago so now it needs to stop. I'm very sure it's not stress or anything like that either.2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
