  • Who issued the alleged ticket? Council or a private parking company ? Was you parked on public land/steet or a private car park?

If its private then read post #9 above.

It was a private parking company vehicle Control services. It was a hardware shop car park.

Ignore VCS, if you don't say whom the driver was they can only take the registered keeper to court, and the keeper can say that he/she wasn't the driver on that day.

Post the news link without the http

I would still like to see a link to the news-story that VCS lost in court but still managed to get £45 in damages.

It would've been VCS vs. Susan Ibbotson, S!!!!horpe, 2012, and VCS Parking Control vs. Ronald Ibbotson, S!!!!horpe, 2012. VCS were awarded the £42.50 cost of the the Norwich Pharmacal Order against the registered keeper, Mrs. Ibbotson, compelling her to divulge who the driver was at the time. However, they lost the subsequent case against the driver, Mr. Ibbotson, and they were ordered to refund this.

Don't think VCS would fancy a day in court for a while! Ignore them.

If its from a private parking company then yes.

Just took a look at the article. Looks like S R-S had his picture snapped in a public toilet - perhaps he delivering free Parking Charge Notices to the cubicles?

You would have thought somewhere like Wickes could have arranged just to unload a few builders bags of gravel behind the car. Then sent the fork lift driver home for lunch.
