My in-laws have dark red towels in their bathroom which match all nicely with the decor.
They fluff like !!!!!!y though and I hate using them. I always secretly grab one of their old towels out of the airing cupboard. OH bought a set of navy blue towels in december last year. By february, I'd cut them up for him to use as handwipes when he goes fishing.
No amount of washing or tumble drying would stop the flecks of blue cotton littering our bathroom surfaces.0 -

This goes to show how stingy I can be - that sounds really expensive to me!! I get mine from the pound shop! And they're really good too, I prefer slightly thinner towels as I find them more absorbant (the really thick 'super luxurious' kind do my head in), they're 'egyptian cotton' apparently, nice and soft, and most importantly - they don't fluff all over the placePlus if you ruin one it doesn't matter as it's only a quid to replace.

I've wanted some big black fluffy towels for ages now but you've put me off. I think I'm going to just dye our well shed existing towels instead with some dylon stuff and avoid the mess11th Heaven prizes Number 103

My black towels have been tumbled and washed to death. Marginally better but still on the "for show" rack!0
