Well I wish I'd taken my own advice and gone elsewhere but I went with Sky because the offer was so good. 6 months free broadband, I just had to pay for line rental.
Broadband activated monday, yesterday get a notification of first bill with the broadband chargew in full.
I email them asking to correct and they say they have no record of the offer on my account:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Not often I go to 'cheap' companies' and i've reminded myself why now.
Any advice on how to proceed? To now i've just emailed them back stating that was the offer that was on when I purchased.
Annoyingly looking through the emails they have sent it makes no mention of the discount bhut it was on as I checked it by phone and by website.
Even now they are offering half price BB for 12 months which is effectivly the same as 6 months free.

Did you sign-up online? If so it is likely that you have added the product from a page not offering the offer - if that is the case it is your fault. If it did not state the offer on the emails, or check-out you should have done something about it then.
If you were offered the deal over the phone and accepted it, all you need to do is call up and ask them to listen to the call. They will and then they will sort it out for you.
You say you checked it by phone - again, call up customer service and ask them to check the call (all the calls are recorded). As long as it was confirmed on the call, it will be added and you will be compensated for your first bill.My user name is SkyInsider...
