iphone 4s or cheaper alternative?
Hi folks,
I'm on a Vodafone contract, with around 18 months or so left. My phone is an iphone 4s.
I'm on a debt reduction push and just can't seem to make my mind up on whether or not to free some money up by selling my iphone.
I can get £350 or so my selling my current phone and I have been considering the Huawei Ascend G300 as a replacement. I can buy the Huawei locally for £50. That would allow me to £300 to throw at a cc.
Has anyone used the Huawei before? Would it be a massive backward step which would leave me kicking myself? I'd also appreciate suggestion for other £50 smartphones that have wifi and will let me access the net and emails quickly and easily.

You won't be kicking yourself, but don't expect it to work as smoothly as your iPhone, it is a budget phone after all.

Just to update this, I went ahead and sold the iphone and I am now posting this from my Huawei G300. I am very pressed with it. It actually feels like a phone worth much more and I am pleased with my decision. The money went straight off my cc. I ended up paying £100 for it, not sure where I got £50 from.Debt in 2008 - £26000 Current debt - £59490
