Well the only phone number I put on my ebay details is a mobile no on a spare phone. No way would I give the landline number out on the internet. As far as refunds go I would say no unless there was a genuine reason. Those you quote are not genuine! Only ever had one request for a refund-for a cd I had compiled full of information on a subject. The buyer, in New Zealand claimed to already have all of that info-no way!!! I refused and suggested he resell on ebay. The item was only £3.99 and I'd already lost a bit on the postage. No way. Put your foot down!Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0

I have updated my phone # to my mobile - and I don't think I will be answering if I don't know the caller!:p:happylove0

With the new feedback system I think we can all kiss goodbye to 100% pos...
It's sort of Ebay's fault too as they like to promote 'shops' so of course buyers start to view everything that's listed as new, whatever the description may say.
I've had a similar problem with a weekend buyer who expected an item to be with them in under 48hrs, they referred to their 'statutory rights' and wanted a refund on the item once it had been dispatched (without returning it) a politely phrased 'not on your nelly' reply seemed to dissuade them though.
If anyone watched 'The Trap' last night there was an apposite quote from a bus conductor that applies 'If you deal with the general public you never win', nope you never do.I do hope you're telling the truth?0 -
I was under the impression you have no statuory rights when dealing with an individual through a private sale?0

You, me the rest of the world, but not this particular buyer - just trying it on, wanted the item and a refund. Strangely all the problems I've had has been from low value sales.I do hope you're telling the truth?0
