Well, I did well last week but it was a real challenge I tell you! I didn't go out with the girls as I had planned and that saved my bacon ;) I will budget £25 for this week as I am hoping we will go out and this time it's a meal and drinks

Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.

The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit
:rotfl:

Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

Moozie x

Well, like normal, I overspent :o  . I spent £55 this week  though I did go home and my train ticket was £38 so if I didn't go, I would have been in budget. Anyways, enough rambling.
    This weeks target: £30 :)

Hey Nicola, that's one expensive ticket there! Do you go regularly and if so, is it worth building it into your regular budget so it doesn't affect this one? Just an idea.

isn't it expensive?! And that's with a student railcard as well :) I dont go often, that's the problem. That was only the second time this term. I will budget it next time, so its not such a big chunk out of my money all at once!

here was me thinking bacon was from pigs....:rotfl:

well I mostly did good this week again...budgetted £60, with my nights out having £40 of that, well I came home with £11.60 so that was well within budget.

my other spends came to a total of £20.91 which was slightly over but not in total.

so if we ignore the crazy shopping spree I went on yesterday when I was not quite right in the head then my total for the week was £49.31.

if we don't I spent £96.86. moozie my fate is in your hands, does emotional spends count as blowing my budget?

oooops! almost forgot next weeks budget!!! I'm putting all the change I have left into my savings pot (more than doubling it!) and keeping the £10 note as my stuff spends, to be on the safe side I'll allow £15 for food this week as I'm needing a few store cupboard bits. not going out this weekend but going to a friends for dvd's on saturday night so I'll need to take munchies, will just take a dvd from here tho.
so I'm saying £25 this week. thankfully I get paid a week on friday so there is an end in sight!!!
