How much have/will you spend today Sun 11/3 & the new Sun to Fri challenge!

Good morning lovely DFWs :)

Hope you are having a great weekend! I've been having a really relaxing one apart from the few hours of work I did yesterday. I have yet to spend any money this weekend but that will soon come to an end as I am going to get a card for a sick friend :(

I am going to go for £20 this week as I'd love to go to the flicks with a friend.

Now for anyone looking in, please feel free to join - the more the merrier! Basically, decide on the amount you want to spend up to from Sunday until the end of the working day on Friday then pledge it here and off we go! The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anythng else.

The reason the challenge is up to Friday is that I like to give myself a day off the counting and let my hair down a bit :D

Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!!

Moozie x

Good morning moozie. I only spent £5 last week even though I budgeted for £20 (only because I was off work ill). I'm going to go for £20 again this week.

Going for a NSD today - got lots of housework to catch up on and having dinner at mums.

Sorry, I've stopped the Sunday to Friday thing as my budget runs from Wednesday to Tuesday, and it's ok until it gets near to the end of the month when it becomes a bit confusing.

The couple of weeks that I did it really helped me focus on what I was doing with my money (I don't think I'd heard of a NSD until then, lol).

I'm managing to keep under my budget, and have now had the bright idea that if there is anything left over I will draw out less money the next week and instead of saying "oooh, look this week I have £70" or whatever I will pay the difference off my credit card.

Thanks for your help and encouragement.
  • Hi Moozie and co

Last week was £20 I spent £19.51 on Ebay postage and a bottle of port.

This week I will budget £20 again but with no ebay costs, a bad back and a houseful of supplies I'm hopeful of spending much less.

    Afternoon
I spent £0 again this week. I hope you dont mind me doing this challenge right now even tho im budgeting £0. I find when i get tempted to spend something the thought of saying it on here stops me buying anything. C x
  • Hi guys

This week I have spent £ 7.00 instead of the £ 5.00 that I had hoped to spend. Shoulder much better now and am back to work again, unfortunately that means being out there and spending more money again, LOL.
Thanx for all the good wishes and hope to be good next week and I want to allocate £ 5.00 again for next week.

Good luck everyone and - sorry Moozie - keep it low!
