'Cant access' is education speak for not having the ability to do the work or cope with the work load.

Have they no alternatives to offer him? Its so sad that children like this are cast aside.

Aaaah right, my son's college stops at level 1, he is there due to his difficulties. He already has lots of level 2's but this particular college stops at 1

The college will be able to suggest an alternative. Don't rule out things like Princes Trust etc.

    Ask for an advice session.

Hi the college should be able to offer him another course at level 1 or entry level 3 in a subject he chooses if he wants to. They should also be giving him all the support he requires I would check their website for student support and see what they offer on there and make sure he gets it, hope it goes well

I have aspergers or ASD as it is now called. You will find it is harder to get a job but not impossable. Try the supermarkets they gave me a chance and it is a step away from benifits. You will find you have a local ASD group and always happy to help.
