Is how to do it on my HTC desire android phone0 -
If its an unbranded phone and there's an update available goto setting/ about phone / software. And there's an update option there. If there is one it'll come through. Best to do it on wifi as they can be big files.
If it's Tmobile branded software on the phone, then you have to wait for them to get their version of the update ready, but should be the same procedure.
If there is no official update (and you haven't said which phone you have or what version of Android its on now), all you can do is go somewhere like XDA, root the phone and flash it with customer firmware (but this will blow any guarantee you have left).0 -
If you are going to root the phone, make sure you know what you are doing otherwise the whole phone may stop working. It's not for everyone.0

Hi Its a T Mobile Vivacity phone and its got a 2.3.5 android version on it at the moment. Ive had this phone for 6 months and im trying to work out how to get my text messages onto the sd card to free up space on the phone itself. Took it to a t mobile shop earlier and after having a look the guy there suggested i plug it online and check for updates. However that is proving difficult for me too0 -

I know my limits lol and basically i haven t a clue. Just want to find out how to move my text messages and picture messages to the sd card as i keep getting messages saying not enough space when i want to update certain apps eg google maps.0 -
To free up space on your phone, move any apps on phone to SD card. Go to settings, Applications, manage Applications. Click on each app then move to media area.0
